About this villa

Aventine Villa is beautifully located on the peaceful, turquoise waters of Chalk Sound National Park. Swim out to one of the many small islands in the Sound, use the kayaks to visit Iguana Island, or snorkel the coral reef at the edge of the property – the Sound offers both serene beauty and unlimited outdoor fun. If you prefer, you can swim in the freshwater pool, or lounge in the sunshine on the pool deck. Privacy is guaranteed by a rich garden of tropical and native plants offering bananas, limes and papayas in season. Aventine is light and airy, with high vaulted ceilings, (ceiling fans in every room) and full width sliding glass doors, providing stunning views of the jewel colors of Chalk Sound.

The villa has Four large air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. (Three rooms have king size beds, and one has two twins.) The spacious, fully equipped kitchen features a granite topped center island with breakfast bar, and includes dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, and all small appliances such as coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer, etc. The main floor dining area has seating for eight at the extendable table. The lounge has a 42” plasma TV, a DVD player and free Wi-Fi Internet connection.

Enjoy the upstairs reading room, with 360 degree views of the Sound and the ocean. With windows in every wall you are assured of a comfortable temperature whether you are searching for cool breezes or warm sunshine. A third lounge on the lower level is an ideal location for games playing.

Outdoors, you will find a large upper deck that wraps around the house and an extensive pool deck, both of which offer shade and sun. A screened-in porch overlooking the pool offers a cool shady spot to relax, while the waterside deck enjoys sunshine for most of the day. Begin your day with coffee on the upper deck enjoying the early morning sunshine. Eat lunch at the large poolside table, shaded by the umbrella. Spend the afternoon by the water, and dangle your toes in the Sound. Watch the sun go down over the Caicos Bank from the reading room, then enjoy a cocktail while cooking dinner on the gas barbecue. After dark, stretch out on the loungers to admire the multitude of stars overhead.

If you wish to explore the island, you are just a few minutes from secluded Taylor Bay beach, which offers fine white sand and spectacular sunsets. Its gently shelving beach and warm shallow water make it a perfect spot for children. The Chalk Sound area offers other beaches, a restaurant, bars, gas station and convenience store, but you are just 15 minutes from all the facilities of downtown, including gourmet supermarkets, spas, casino, golf club, and much more.

We had an amazing trip! The house was perfect, views amazing, paddling in the sound was fun & we loved night swimming. Outside the house we recommend charter with Sail Beluga (it was so perfect - worth every penny) and kayaking the mangroves with Island Adventures, Sapodilla Beach is great as was the beach at the Cabana bar at Ocean Club in Grace Bay. Get the Ultimate Burger at Las Brisas 10/10 Reccomend. Cant wait to come back! PSA: you can take home 3 conch shells per persons! My family just spent 8 amazing days in this beautiful home. My husband and I stayed here 10 years ago for our honeymoon and we came back to spend our 10 year anniversary here with our three young children. They have made quite a few upgrades since we were here last which we were pleasantly surprised about. You honestly can’t beat the view from the house. The two main floor bedrooms and living room have the most beautiful view of the sound. The water changes color all day and I don’t think I can ever get the image of it out of my head. We loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom. When we weren’t out visiting the different beaches we spent most of our time in the beautiful infinity pool or down by the gazebo. My girls loved going for night swims with the colorful pool lights on. Julian was very responsive and helpful giving us tips on how to get places or where to go! We hope to one day make it back to this beautiful island and home! AC was very affordable if used only at night.

Aventine Villa had a beautiful view from several rooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Our family took advantage of the infinity pool everyday. Some of our family also took advantage of the kayaks provided. The beach chairs and life jackets also came in handy when we went to the beautiful beaches and reefs each day. Smith’s Reef was a wonderful place to snorkel to see many types of fish and sea turtles. The villa was spacious and great for seven of us. Some of the windows needed fixing because they could not be opened or closed. The floors could have been cleaner. We loved the safe, quiet neighborhood. You do need to drive to get to most of the beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, and resort area. Groceries and food are very expensive, so if you have room in your suitcase, pack some food. Julian responded quickly to our texts. All-in-all, we enjoyed our stay at the villa.

We couldn't have had a more pleasurable stay in TC! We were traveling as a group of 4 couples & it was nice that everyone had their own private space (bedroom, bathroom, ample closets for storing away luggage). We stayed 5 nights and used the kitchen every day and had a private chef one evening. The only thing not available that the chef needed was a whisk, but we made out fine. A previous reviewer mentioned the stove was out but we found brand new appliances. Highly recommend a private chef experience in the house and then using all the leftovers to eat throughout the stay. The house was very clean, but we could have used a few more bath towels/ beach towels. We ended up doing laundry every other day as there were not enough beach towels for 8. The host was incredibly responsive when we needed an air pump to blow up floaties and when we lost water pressure. The sound cabana was our favorite place, beautiful sea without a sandy beach mess. We will re-book this place next year!
